On The Move Soon..
Well after 2 years at our current residence the time has come to move on and, at last, move closer to UWE :) For those curious the pic to the side is the place that is #1 in our list. We have various things to consider for our move; more specifically what we have to fit inside it. For example:
- TV + Peripherals (DVD player, 5.1 etc)
- Many bookcases
- DVDs
- 2 desks
- Computers
- Dining table
- Bed
- Space for a car
- Piano
There’s probably a lot more than that but that’s all I can think of at the moment. It doesn’t seem quite a lot but trust me, it is! We’re looking to move in February sometime which is nice as its still at the start of my term. Catrin really likes the place above and so do out. The other area of Bristol we’re looking at it Stoke Gifford or anywhere else within reasonable distance of UWE. It’s quite exciting as this will probably be our home for quite a while. I’ve grown a little tired of spending two years some place then moving on.
Onwards In The Cup
In other news Man Utd drew with Burton Albion in the FA Cup which to be honest I don’t mind as it’s great for Burton Albion as it’ll be a money spinning replay at Old Trafford which will help no-end to Burton’s finances. This is the main reason why I really love the FA Cup as not only can lower league clubs knock out the higher oppenents but it can secure the finances of small clubs for many years if they get a big name draw or get the label ‘Giant Killers.’
Obviously it’s quite shocking we couldn’t beat a team 103 places below is the football standings but I do like it when a smaller club gets something like this which helps them on the money side of the game. Premiership clubs don’t really have to worry too much about where the money’s coming (with the noted exception of Leeds Utd) however in the rest of the english football leagues TV rights are less and in the lower leagues there is no TV money really. So its really the FA Cup which can bring in the money for those teams who rarely get the glare of TV Cameras.
