All Change
Well I’ve only gone and done it again… changed my blog theme but this time I’ve done a bit more than that. Ever since I bought pntaylor.net it’s been split in to two separate sites. One was my blog and the other was my photography and I was quite happy with that in all honesty till recently. I don’t really know why but I started browsing around for decent WordPress themes and contemplating buying one and then I stumbled across this theme by Wordspop. It would allow me to marry my blog and my portfolio and have it all running on WordPress as, you see, pixelpost hasn’t really seen much development in a while and I wanted it to be on a platform that is constantly developed and secured.
And so here we are pretty much pulled across with very little fuss. There are one or two issues with this theme. One is that the previous button for the blog doesn’t do anything other than show you the current 10 posts. I think this is an issue with the recent upgrade to WordPress 3.2 but I can’t be sure. The theme I’m using, judging by support forum posts, will be updated soon enough which is great and we’ll see where we end up. Another issue related to the move is that all older blog posts with images refer to the uploads folder on the (now deleted) blog.pntaylor.net sub-domain. Fortunately while the zone file is gone the folder is not and all the images work. Finally the RSS feeds for people who followed me using them will now cease to work! Not to fear though as you can follow blog posts and my photography all on their own RSS feeds.
