Taking That.. Not That..
So as many of you will know we’re moving to Australia and this week is *the* week as our flights out are this Saturday. Today, however, was the day when this whole thing really hit home as the packers arrive. There’s nothing weirder than to know that a few guys are reducing your entire house to a collection of cardboard boxes and a couple of crates. Today is day one and they’ll be back tomorrow, along with a 20ft container, to finish it all off and then we won’t see it for the next 10 weeks or so. It’s one scary thought to know that everything we own will be in transit and that anything could happen. Of course we’re insured and everything but I still wouldn’t like to lose any of it.
So while that’s all happening Cat and I are staying next door with our lovely neighbours. It’s a really big help being literally next door for when the packers have queries about what we’re taking and what not and anything else that’s cropped up so far. It’s almost like being a student again; should be fun. I’ll try to blog as much as I can about the move as a fair few friends & family have asked to be kept apprised and I know some do read this blog so yeah, I’ll do my best. Saturday’s going to be an interesting day which I’m sure will be full of tears and goodbyes although there was one goodbye I didn’t get to make.
