That’s One Down
And one more and a project to go. Today I did my Project Management exam and it went better than I thought although I won’t be holding my breath. With any luck though I’ll pass it first time which will allow me to forget all about it. In my opinion the whole module was a re-hash plus a couple extras of the Business Studies course I took at GCSE; the added bits being GANT charts and the odd equation or two. This was mildly disappointing, almost as disappointing as what Integrated Case Studies turned out to be. I thought it was going to be like looking at various case studies relevent to our course and seeing how they could be improved or something boy was I wrong! What it turned out be was, in fact, a 2hr lecture from someone outside the University talking to us about what they do and stuff they have done. While this could class as a case study the odd one or two turn this 2 hour lecture in to one long sales pitch, most depressing.
Aside from that I still have my Web Technologies project to do (and it hasn’t come on far) as well as revision for my Operating Systems and Systems Administration exam. I’m hoping to get the project done by Saturday leaving me with all of Sunday and Monday morning to revise. Not long I know but it’s the way I’ve always revised and I’m not planning on changing.
Tomorrow will be jam packed. Catrin and I are going to look at houses with my friend Kieran kindly providing us with transport between most of our appointments. For me it’s all quite exciting as I hope this will be our place of residence for longer than our usual 2 years. I am going to miss where we live now as for all things central it is very convenient but I’m looking forward to the change it’ll be nice to see if we can get away from the hustle and bustle of living in the centre. We’re going to make up a list tonight of the things we need to have answered which is very organised! With any luck we should have our new place picked and the ball rolling by close of play tomorrow. The sooner this is all sorted the sooner we can plan other things.
