Back to Work
So with the weekend gone it’s back to work. It’s been a fun and interesting weekend for the most part although Cati’s disappointment in her ballet exams soured it a little. However yesterday was fun and the Cirque du Soleil was fabulous, lots of “that’s not natural” or “the body isn’t supposed to do that is it?!” moments. Didn’t quite follow whatever story it was supposed to be telling but either way what was being shown on stage was wonderfully entertaining. It was also lovely to catch up with friends and enjoy the company, the drive home wasn’t though.
Cati stayed back a little longer in London to catch up with a friend she hadn’t seen in a while and so I went back to Maidenhead where we left the car to drive home. The weather wasn’t too bad when I got there but got worse as I drove along the M4. Overtaking lorries was an adventure every time as there was so much spray I had to pick my line and hope the lorry doesn’t stray with the wind. The other issue is that because our Liana is a high sided car it moves quite a lot in high wind situations so by the time I got home my arms were quite tired. Once I got home I had a few moments to relax and then I took my car to pick Cati up from the station and fuel up.
The rest of the evening was spent relaxing on the sofa with Cati watching part of the NFL divisional playoff games and just general relaxation. In many ways a lovely way to end an interesting weekend and an eventful week.
